In The Cosmic Conundrum
another aim will be to present facts which have
led to my own inner certainty and which will, I
hope, tip the balance in favour of there having
existed an advanced prehistoric civilization
with great technical ability. People who had a
completely different view, knowledge and respect
for their relatives whether they be animal,
vegetable or mineral and who instinctively knew
that they were a microcosm of the Earth, fellow
planets and the Universe. |

Above : Greek Connection (Paperback)
"Alan Carter describes the Universe in
a simple informative way" - Greek-o-File,
Autumn 2004 |
A simplified approach to the
Universe, which accentuates the deep association
with Greek mythology. Basic astronomical facts
are presented, together with the larger than
life mythological characters and events that
gave their names to the planets, satellites,
asteroids and so many constellations. Time,
distance, volume, mass and temperature expressed
in universal terms are so incomprehensible that
the reader will find out the mythical adventures
more believable than the factual calculations.
The Greek night sky presents a superb spectacle
and it is hoped that this book will provide the
ideal accomplishment to the evening relaxation
on the balcony when, replete with your taverna
meal and a glass of wine to hand, it could be
time to light-heartedly view some Greek legends
as they unfold in the sky above. |
